Social Nights

 

Our weekly Friday social gathering fosters connection, belonging, and year round engagement. It’s a highlight for many members and a wonderful way to unwind at the end of the week. There is a Lucky Members Draw and a Jokers Draw for those hoping their number comes up.

Every week unless there is a fully catered or pot luck dinner our “WBC Chefs” prepare barstyle food. Once every month we enjoy a pot luck meal where everyone brings a favourite dish to share. We’re very fortunate to have Christine, one of our members who love’s providing us with a fully catered meal or what we fondly call ‘a one pot wonder’ — her meals and desserts are always a treat.

 

Other regular social activities include quiz evenings, fun game nights, and indoor bowls, which is especially popular during winter. In summer, the BBQ is often sizzling, with members relaxing on the deck, enjoying warm evenings, good company, while still being able to have a bowl.

 

We also run themed socials throughout the year, our Christmas celebration is always a favourite, and we wrap up the season with a popular Season Finale. Our social programme continues to grow, with members stepping up to lead new activities — so watch this space. Movie nights with popcorn and jaffas are on the horizon.
