Uniform

Our Club has a uniform consisting of a blue and white shirt, navy blue pants, shorts or skirt, blue hoodie and navy blue jacket. The shirt was sponsored by Jennian Homes and their branding appears on the shirt and jacket. The uniform is to be worn at Club Championships, Interclub, Pennants, Centre Events, Gala’s, when representing our Club at Champ of Championship Events and other events when uniform is required or requested to be worn by our Club.

Some latitude is extended to first year players although correct footwear needs to be worn.

The laws of the game and as an affiliated club of the Wellington Centre, we are expected to adhere to all rules relating to dress.

General Conditions of Play

Players need to be aware of and conform to the General Conditions of Play as detailed in this section and any further conditions set out in the programme or entry sheet for specific events.

Before members enter their names to play in competitions, they need to ensure their availability on the dates the games are scheduled including programmed postponement dates.

Members need to be aware that by entering a Club Championship they are thereby committing themselves to represent the Club at the relevant Centre Champion of Champion event.

Playing Priorities:
Centre Events take precedent over all Club events.

Club Championships take precedent over any events held by another Club.

All members need to be aware that if a team member elects to play in an outside game when Club Championship games are scheduled (including postponement days) no substitute or replacement will be approved.

Members should only enter a Club competition if they are going to be available on the dates scheduled in the programme.

Subject to the Match Committee’s consent, in certain circumstances rounds of any competition may be played on days other than those set down in the programme. In these situations agreements need to be reached with the opposing Skip who has the right to require the round to be played on the date posted on the draw sheet.

In general, the Match Committee will not withhold consent if the game is played before the date set out on the draw sheet and is in the correct sequence as shown on the draw sheet.

If a player or team is not present within 10 minutes of the time arranged for the commencement of the game, the offending player may lose the game by default.

For any game (arranged in own time) the skips are responsible for contacting his or her opponent to arrange a suitable time for play and a marker

Tournament Manager
For each day of Club Championship, the Match Committee will appoint a Tournament Manager.

The appointed Tournament Manager will be responsible for the running of that particular day and will make such decisions as altered teams, start times for later games, potential weather delays etc.

Variation of the Programme
As the controlling body for an event the Match Committee has the right to alter, add to, or remove any conditions of play due to unfavourable weather and / or special conditions to enable the completion of the competition.

Awarding of Trophy
The awarding of a trophy will be to the original team whose names are entered on the Score Card for the first game in a tournament however, if an original team member is replaced i.e. not substituted then that player is recorded as the winner of that event.

Trial Ends
Before the start of the first game of the day, or before the continuation of an unfinished game on another day, or before a Club Championship final, one trial end should be played in each direction.

Cancellation of Play
If a day’s play is to be cancelled before the scheduled start time, the Match Committee will communicate any change of conditions of play in a timely and clear manner to individuals or skips. It will then be up to the skip to contact their team members.

Champion of Champion Events
Members entering Club Championship events need to be aware that if they win the event, they are expected to be available for the Wellington Centre, Champion of Champion event.
